Copywriting + Live Storytelling Events
A human-centered design thinker with T-shaped writing skills, I've always loved playing with words AND live theater. My jam: turning head-scratching jargon into clear, compelling copy and everyday people into storytelling legends (at least for a night).
I learned how to be an editor the hard way by founding an independent arts and culture magazine called TENbyTEN. Was a catalog copywriter for Crate & Barrel and CB2 for a hot second. Donned a marketing hat for half a decade. Was the founding producer of Mortified Chicago for 12 years. And for five-plus years, worked as a writer on project teams at IDEO helping clients such as Ford, State Farm, Sara Lee, Walgreens, and others with such writing tasks as UX copywriting, brand copywriting (including creating names and brands from scratch), tag-lines, video scripts, product copy, and instructional materials, among other writing tasks.
